Oranges, and Lemons, and Clementines, oh my!

Hi everyone, happy New Year! After my last holiday art market, I reflected on which paintings/prints did the best, and the clear winner was: CITRUS! I find it so interesting to see what artwork resonates with people. Prints of the orange blossom painting, pictured below, were a best-seller. This original painting is available in my Etsy shop!

Orange blossoms. Orange tree painting. Original watercolor. Citrus artwork

“Neighborhood Orange Tree,” 8×8 watercolor on paper.

These lemons were also a hit!

Lemon artwork. Lemon blossoms. Watercolor lemons.

“Lemon World,” 8×8 watercolor and pastel on paper.

I will be listing this painting on Etsy soon!

I also painted original ornaments in 2025—the clementine was the first to go! See below :)

Christmas ornaments. Original artwork

Original gouache paintings in glass frames.

Because citrus fruit has been popular, I wanted to get to work on some new art! The pieces pictured below are mixed media—primarily a combination of acrylic paint and random types of paper. I have a few final tweaks I’d like to make, but otherwise these pieces are done and just need names!

Tangelos

Tangelos at the local market inspired the painting above!

Box of lemons; lemon photos

A box of free lemons in my neighborhood loosely inspired the lemon painting pictured above.

Next, I’m thinking of painting grapefruit or limes…what citrus fruit would you want to see me paint?!
